Disclaimer: This whole blog itself aren't for those who may cringe when reading anything with grammatical errors. Sadly I suffer from Dysgraphia Dyslexia and there's nothing I can do about it. When I read things, they seem correct to me but really aren't. So best you stop here.
Alhumdulilah for the amazing response recently of my blog, maybe my giveaway had somewhat to do with it but then I think a lot of girls now read thy blog because of this and have made an extra effort... Wohoo!
What does my title mean, I didn't know what to call it, I even think this title is a bit crap but heyho it sums up what I'd like to discuss. So we all know that phone is the new camera, it's the one tool everyone takes with them to places, it's the thing that if it gets stolen well everything is gone forever (unless you have backup then...)
But is it necessary to make it the most important item in life? I mean these days everyone takes photo's of everything (Guilty, but only if it's super inspirational or I'm bored) From food, to bath, to kitchen, to special moments. But when it comes to spending time, talking, having a laugh I am the first one to put my phone away, my close family and friends can vouch for that. I understand taking photo's of outfits, the places etc, but constantly. Is this what your life consists of, trying to please others.... I'd like to remind you, that one 'like' you got, she/he don't give two shits if you at luxury places all the time. They just like and that's all. Don't get too scooped
I understand we all want to show everyone what we are up to but is it worth it in the long run. Here is a script I thought of:
Sandra: *Takes photo of her holding her husbands hand and posting it on FB: "Having a blast with my babe"
Rick: *Does the same as Sandra"
Both now busy replying to comments talking about how they love each other to people but not really having a 'blast'
I mean is there a point of them even 'being together at that time' What's the point if it's for people and not for own self?
I mean are moments really precious if they are stopped and taken a photo of constantly? I mean one reason I left Wedding Photography was due to the fact all my clients wanted staged photo's when I wanted to roam around the room and capture precious moments, they kept stopping me to take this photo of them 'pretending to catch the bouquet' etc
My point of this blog is that, live for the moment try not to capture it. Honestly we are so hooked up on the phone these days we just forget to enjoy the moment.
I had few very special events recently and afterwards I was sad as I had not taken any photo on my phone, have to wait for people to send it to me via Whatsapp but you know what those events were priceless moments! I remember each special moment and I am glad I didn't capture it. My kids will be hearing my stories (Or reading my journal) of my time just the way I heard my mums childhood stories.
Trust me when I say, some things DO NOT need to be captured. You will thank me later ;-)
