Disclaimer: This whole blog itself aren't for those who may cringe when reading anything with grammatical errors. Sadly I suffer from Dysgraphia Dyslexia and there's nothing I can do about it. When I read things, they seem correct to me but really aren't. So best you stop here.
I have to admit that
one thing I love about being in this industry is being invited to events, if you scroll back to other
blogs I have given reviews of some. If I am invited on behalf of my magazine
only then due to policy I can’t blog about it.
However this one I
am because my magazine and my blog were invited to review and enjoy the event:
Luton Fashion Week (LFW). I’ve not heard of this event before and I’ve been in
the industry for 6 years. The event has been organised by Aneesa Kian-e a
talented teacher and designer! She’s fulfilled her passion into a career and enjoys
every minute of it!
Luton Fashion Week
is an event not for the ‘big people’ more for the inspiring people. It was the
students of Bedfordshire College. They showcased their talent to the rest of
the people and I’m telling you they were amazing! Honestly they inspired me
more and made me believe that their generation will carry on the legacy of:
Hard working Talented Individual
Other events that I
have been invited to as a VIP has not met the standards of LFW VIP. Honestly I
am highly impressed with the VIP service, it was more than what I could think
of. They fed us! I mean they FED us! Sorry the only reason I am shocked is,
these fashion events never have food and people LOVE FOOD. The VIP room was
upstairs so we all got to mingle and network. Alhumdulilah I think I did well
with letting people that have been in the industry for more than 10years know
of the magazine which is a plus one J We also got front seats (of course!) which
allowed us to see the show better. I don't boast about being VIP’s to other
events but this event more than me being a VIP I was very impressed with being
a smaller event show they pulled it off way better than Pakistan Fashion Week,
London Bridal Show etc….
The goody bag needs a separate paragraph! I can't explain to you how AMAZING the goody bag was! Again this was a VIP goody bag, I meant Haute Arabia just threw in leaflets and like one biscuit packets and walah that’s a VIP goody bag! Ugh. We got Ayesha Zia Oud, Swarovski Crystal Studs, Brooches, two cupcakes,

The Event:
As usual any fashion
show (Except London Fashion Week) it runs over time, in Asian function it runs
slightly more…. The event was supposed to start at 6.30pm however ran one hour
late, however I personally was okay with it because one glich over the more
amazing stuff that happened I did overlook it.
Another one was the Technology;
Music; I was laughing a lot purely because it happens to me at family events. Some of the music had like a ‘comment’ at the end stating what where it was downloaded from. “Log on to….” At parties I’m always in charge of music and yeah sometimes I download the wrong copy….

Mics; I think this
is general, either the hosts speak to into the mics which makes it go down or
the mics are just generally weak!
Overall;
The event was too
good that I overlooked all these things, which I usually look into. Those
things weren’t major for me to want to walk out I absolutely loved the whole
event, the atmosphere the people and no I wasn’t a stuck up girl sticking to
the VIP’s I mingled with other people too. Alhumdulilah it was a beautiful
event, and I guess in the name of charity it exceeded my expectations. Aneesa
gave to the poor and Alhumdulilah she got back more respect and high status! I’m
an honoured to have been invited to be part of this magical night. I was
honestly inspired by Aneesa and hope we can pull off our charity event as well
as this!
