Fajr; Shortest but Hardest

Disclaimer: This whole blog itself aren't for those who may cringe when reading anything with grammatical errors. Sadly I suffer from Dysgraphia Dyslexia and there's nothing I can do about it. When I read things, they seem correct to me but really aren't. So best you stop here. 

I trust you all are in the best of health and happiness? I was sitting down and contemplating alone the other day after prayers thinking why is it so hard to pray Fajr, the prayer that our Lord has made the shortest for us we yet don't want to pray because it breaks our precious sleep? The prayer that Allah (SWT) has made the shortest for us, we just ignore and go back to sleep

Alhumdulilah since last year Ramadan I have been pray Fajr more than I ever use to. But even till today I sometimes skip it Subhanallah! It's obligatory and yet I miss it? Shame on me! 

We humans are weird. if our manager said we have to be at work by 5am we will go and make sure we are on there on time, but the Almighty has asked us to Pray 5 times a day and we don't.... I can't even defend myself here because I don't pray all the time. Especially after a break we girls have it's hard to get back in... Ow what the Shaytaan can do. 

But we shouldn't always blame it on the Shaytaan, yes he tries to 'lure' us in to what he wants us to do but he doesn't force us. Allah (SWT) has given us a mind of our own and we need to choose the right path. It's like Allah (SWT) guides us but doesn't force us onto the right path. Exactly what the Shaytaan does, guides us to the wrong path. Hardest part is that the "wrong" stuff seems so good and happy at the time.... 

What I did to fix this disgusting habit of mine is, we usually keep our Alarm (Phone/Clocks) next to us so it's easier to just snooze, well don't do this. Put your phone somewhere, where you will get out of your bed to turn it off. I've been putting it in my dirty laundry basket literally drop it in because I end up getting up and ruffling through the clothes to turn it off before. Then my tiredness goes because I literally opened my eyes to look for the phone. Sometimes I put it in the drawers to wake up. You literally gotsa do what suits you, but I'd highly recommend for you not to put it under pillow or in any reachable place. The waswasah from the Shaytaan will tell you to snooze it or even worse off it. 

Before you sleep the Shaytaan ties three knots at the back of your head when you fall asleep and exhales "The night is long, so stay asleep" When one wakes up and remembers Allah (SWT) one knot is one undone, when one performs ablution the second knot is undone and when one prays the third knot is undone and that person gets up energetic with a good heart in the morning, otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart

Talking from personal experience it's true, I've been waking up so positively Alhumdulilah! Things that would've bothered me before doesn't much now, I wake up wanting to get work done personally and professionally. 

Just imagine by praying we impress our Lord, the one who will decide if we deserve Heaven, the one who will help us in our hard times, the one who makes us smile! You know how to impress your boss because they might give you a pay rise on performance? Well see it like that Allah (SWT) may grant us Jannat if we all pray religiously... 

By not praying we impress the Shaytaan, the one who will give us contentment with all Haraam things, the one who will lead us astray, the one who has no authority on where we shall be in the afterlife and lastly the one who will leave us when our souls get taken up.... 

Trust me I know it's hard but try your utmost best to pray all prayers not just Fajr! Fajr is just the hardest, but hopefully my advice works on you if you try it please do let me know and give me feedback! To know I've helped you Subhanallah!
