Apneh Kemon achen? (In shuddo Bangla means, how are you?) Recently Rumena and I got invited to The Gourmet Hut to go and taste their lavish dishes and right an honest review. (Rumena really, I was her plus one who's giving this review out of my own will)
Now if you all read my blog you will know people don't pay me to write good stuff I let everyone know I will be honest.
It was located near Whitechapel, even though East London is the best places for Halal Restaurent I just find it annoying as parking becomes an issue so public transport it is.
Its not a far walk from the station at all. Took us 10mins (Ok I lie it took me 15mins as I am a fattie)
We were greeted by one of their staff and he took us straight to our table. Now I told Juhel to surprise us and give us whatever. Didn't want to pick because then it becomes normal bla bla
We had a drink called Red Mist; ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I've not had a drink like this before so was quite intrigued by it. Then they bought us this dish where is was basically big fat porato chips with mince meat, mozerella and jalepino's. It was really filling and different, something I will attempt to make next time I have guests around.
Then the usual Buffalo Wings, chips and Potatoe cheesy.
Main was a Gourmet Burger (DUH!) Honestly was so full by this point I was contemplating if I should have it as a take away and thought no so did have it. Really reallly nice, however wasn't fond of the bun as it was a bit crispy and made the burger itself a knife and fork dish rather than 'get your finger dirty' type of dish. But overall it was very well done divine.
The 2nd drink was my fave Mojito, I also had Rumena's one because it was yummy. I also saw them prep it so I could tell the effort and not like other restaurent where it's off the fridge.
Desserts, well I sadly rejected to have it because I was too full but I did share with Rumena, it was churro's dipped into melted chocolate, now whenever I bit into it, I tasted something fruity which I didn't really like but that was my personal preference.
My Personal Rating is 8/10
I just found the location and the actual atmosphere very closed, the space was small so you can kind hear the conversation however it was really cosy!
Here are some images. I did not have my camera so here are the images from my phone
