Haute Arabia High Tea
Evening Ladies & Gentlemen,
Ok I know some of you lot don't know me personally but I'd just like to let ya'll know that I have mild dyslexia so if I ever come across stupid with my artciles, posts, social network it's purely because of this. I'm the person people make posts about with the difference of "your & you're" trust me I get that wrong all the time.
So we attended the Haute Arabia High Tea which was organised but Haute Arabia (www.hautearabia.com) This event was for women across the global celebrating their entrepreneurship. As soon as we purchased press pass tickets I was exciting to go because I missed last years event.
This event was held at a very prestigious hotel situated in Knightsbridge called Bvlgari Hotel on Friday 17th January 2014 at 6.30pm
Journey & Experience:
I will first start off with my journey & experience. So my friend/employee came along with me Rumena who luckily got an extra press pass ticket. Usually press passers get in for free due to them covering the event etc however for this event we have to pay £40 for ticket but this was done with us being seated at the afternoon tea table not only fashion pass. Sadly Rumena was told she won't be seated but I will be which we was ok with because we planned to share a seat or not sit at all.
We got there for 7pm (fashionably late) but guess what event hasn't started so I was happy! We went bathroom looked prim and prop, Whilst going down to the hall a gentlemen was in the lift with us and Rumena being so innocent starts talking to the gentlemen asking if he works at the hotel when he replied with a laugh and said "No I am one of the designers" (LOL) I couldn't help but laugh!!
Then I was seeing familiar faces and catching up with old acquaintances and meeting new people! After that they were seating everyone down one by one. So when they came to us they that were only fashion pass which we wasn't but due to rushing around we just went at the back, but it was good because I spoke to he owner of Kushh Magazine finally Omer Janjua! His such a lovely guy!
One of our friends said no one is sitting next to them so we sat there, then we got told were not allowed as we didn't pay (I said we did actually press pass) then we got seated on the floor!!!! At that time I was fuming, I didn't pay to sit on the floor, but then as I saw most photographers and reporters sit on the floor I thought okay maybe I read wrong. Then there was an interval and I went and spoke to some of the press passers and they were actually seated on the table and alongside with that news the ones situated on the floor got in for free!! So can you imagine how angry I was at that point? I didn't say anything to the organizers at the time only because I know the stress of backstage etc so what I thought is emailing them directly which I did and got a good response so it's all ok. But because I am here to review and discuss the event I have to be honest but Romanna dealt with the complaint promptly and took it seriously.
Due to the fact event was running late some of the backstage helpers were actually heading home and they didn't have helpers to help backstage with the models etc so me and Rumena volunteered to help, we can only support each other rather than walk away. I know if I was organising this event and this happened I will be so happy if randoms volunteered. So we got to help out backstage mingled with models, designers etc. Dian Pelangi! OMG that's all I will be saying! Met the lovely Dina again, that girl always gives me the giggles when she says "hey you" She's tall already I made her bend down when she stood next to me. One person I'm gutted I didn't go and talk to is Aamir Naveed, I absolutely adore his work and whenever I get reminded of his age I'm like Masha'allah!
I missed two catwalks due to this but it's okay I saw the clothes backstage however no photographs. Overall my experience was 6/10. The collections were really lovely, the service I received wasn't great, networking was fab!
Photographs:
Here are few images of the catwalk show. Please note we didn't go as photographers of the event we went to review and celebrate for being a Women Entrepreneur.
We was placed on the side so I only got side views, I'm not 100% happy with the photo's but hey ho I'd have to deal with this. To see more images follow @hautearabia on Instagram.

The best part was meeting Dian Pelangi, an Indonesian Lady aged 23 (Only on 14.1.14) being a global designer and yet being so humble and grateful for what she has! We spoke for a while & not once did she come across "I'm a designer move out the way" Love it <3
Thank you for Haute Arabia for having us! Thank you to all those lovely people we met!
Till next time ladies & gentlemen adios :)
